The answer is in the question

On Friday the Edinburgh TV Festival held a debate, hosted by Kirsty Wark, entitled Is British TV Too Right Wing?

The premise under discussion was, apparently, that now television is stuffed with right wing columnists, historians and journalists, contrary to the popular view of it being a liberal left stronghold.

Quite how they got together even the flimsiest bits of evidence on which to base this is truly baffling. And the whole question is put into nice relief when one considers that a debate at the festival on whether TV was too left wing would be more or less inconceivable.
